As a Bozeman engagement photographer, I get to witness couples slow down, connect, and simply be with each other in these landscapes, and Kathryn & Jeffrey’s evening session was the perfect example of that Montana magic.

We met through a mutual friend, and Kathryn and I quickly became friends ourselves. So when she reached out to plan their engagement session, we knew the vibe would be effortless, meaningful, and completely centered on the way these two naturally love each other.

EFFORTLESS CONNECTION

Kathryn and Jeffrey have the kind of connection that guides a session on its own. From the moment they & their pup, Ham, hopped out of the car, they were all smiles & laughs. Instead of stiff poses or overly directed moments, we took a walk along a short trail, stopping whenever inspiration struck. whether that was pausing to take in the view, dancing to a meaningful song that echoed through Jeffrey’s phone speaker, or simply leaning into each other in quiet moments. Their session was more about feeling than performing.

To make things even more seamless, we added on my styling support option. My styling assistant helped finesse details like hat angles, hair, movement, and outfits, and more. She was an extra set of eyes and hands so Kathryn and Jeffrey could stay fully in the moment. The result: images reflect the ease of the evening.
